Overview

The EM Test LD200N provides a effective test solution to ISO 7637-2 pulses 5 and 7, as well as many other international and manufacturer based standards/requirements. This Automotive Conducted Immunity Test Solutions simulate a load dump, the sudden battery disconnection causing an over voltage impulse. This stand alone generator includes an 60v/30a DC coupling decoupling network (CDN) for direct testing and an ISO 17025 accredited calibration, providing a ideal test solution! It is designed for use with 12, 24, or 42 volt supply systems and in conjunction with other EM Test 200 series of generators.

This immunity generator is an all in one system for testing high-energy pulses as required by ISO 7637. By means of a built-in clipping circuit it also generates clipped load dump pulses as per international standards as well as manufacturer requirements. The LD200N can be integrated with the UCS200N and VDS 200N for a complete automotive immunity test system, similar to the NSG 5500.  

This test equipment allows for both pre-programmed standard test and modification of individual pulses through the FreeStyle mode. It has an adjustable source impedance from, 0.5 Ω to 38 Ω in .1 Ω steps. To facilitate a turnkey solution, we include laptop with software with this rental arriving at the testing location ready for use.

The EM Test UCS200N series of automotive conducted immunity provides fast transient and microburst testing for SAE J1113, JASO, and ISO 7637-2 waveforms 1,2,3a,3b. This series of products come in a 60 volt, 50 amp (UCS 200N50) version and a 60 volt 100amp (UCS 200N100) Version, both of which can be easily integrated into existing EM Test automotive setups.  The built-in coupling network can be used and controlled by any unit of the LD200N, VDS200N and PFM200N series and comes with an A2LA accredited calibration (ISO 17025) is included in the equipment price.

Overview

PFM 200N100 made by EM Test is a unique automotive power fail simulator for LV 124 / LV 148 and Microinterruptions as per manufacturer standards. A2LA accredited calibration is included in the EMC rental equipment price. The PFM200N100 series includes a switch for the power supply line from 100 mA to 100A and a separate witch in the ground return path. 

The PFM 200 N 100 has been designed to fully meet the requirements for E10, E13 and E14 of the LV 124 and the E48-09 of the LV148. It also allows performing microinterruptions with fast rise/fall time of as low as 200ns as required by GMW 3172, sec. 9.2.18. The PFM 200n100 when combined with the EM Test autowave, can be used as a substitute for the PFS 200n.

Overview

The EM Test capacitive coupling clamp by EMTest is used to couple pulses to I/O lines required in ISO 7637 waveform 3b and other automotive testing standards. It allows for cable up to 40mm in diameter and has a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms. An ISO 17025 accredited calibration is included in the EMC rental equipment price.

The effective coupling capacitance of the coupling clamp depends on the diameter and the material of the used cables. A typical estimated value can be expected around 100 pF. This clamp is specially designed to meet automotive standards specifically ISO 7637.

The coupling on signal lines of this Automotive EMC Test Equipment can usually not be effected capacitively without interfering with the signal flow. It is often impossible to contact the required circuit (direct), e.g. coaxial or shielded cables. In this case the coupling is realized with the capacitive coupling clamp. The interference simulator can be connected via a coaxial cable on both sides of the ACC coupling clamp.

This product made by EM Test is a set of Adapters for verifying EFT/Burst generators. The pulse shape of EFT/burst generators designed as per IEC 61000-4-4 have to be verified both into a 50ohm and a 1,000ohm load at the 50ohm coaxial HV output as well into 50ohm load at the output of the coupling network where the DUT is connected when testing mains supply lines. The CA EFT kit includes the load resistors and a set of adapter to connect the coaxial matching resistors appropriately to the DUT output port.

This EM Test resistor box containing all load resistors required to verify automotive micropulse and load dump generators. In accordance with the pulse verification requirements given in Annex C of ISO 7637-2:2011 and Annex A of ISO 16750-2:2012, test pulses generated by automotive transient generators need to be verified both under no-load (open circuit verification) and loaded conditions with specified loads. The values of the load resistors is specified and are equal to the generator's internal source impedance defined for the corresponding test pulse.

When testing for Automotive ESD the most common standard is ISO 10605. The most common non-ESD based ISO standard is ISO 7637.
