Overview

The EMC Pro Plus made by Thermo Fisher Scientific is a Conducted Immunity Generator designed for 6kV surge/combination wave, 4.4kV EFT/Burst, 100kHz ringwave at 6kV, and dips testing.This test system provides a single unit solution for surge, EFT, ringwave, and dips and interruptions and is upgraded to meet the latest versions of these standards. This test equipment comes with an A2LA ISO 17025 accredited calibration and free technical support. We also offer rentals of the 10x700 Telecom wave board providing capabilities with the EMC Pro Plus platform.

This EMI Immunity Generator is an easy to use, cost effective solution to a diverse set of testing needs. This system provides easy to use front panel display and can be controlled via computer through windows based software. It also monitors output of the coupling unit and automatically switches connections according to coupling mode.

The EMC Pro Plus is designed to test for a variety of EMC immunity industry standards including EN/IEC 61000-4-4, EN/IEC 61000-4-5, EN/IEC 61000-4-11, EN/IEC 61000-4-12, CEMark, and ANSI IEEE C62.41 cat. B. The EMC Pro Plus rental equipment It also can also be configured for custom test protocols to meet specific test requirements using the software and a full line of options and accessories.

EMTest CNV504N1.3 coupling/decoupling networks for unshielded  unsymmetrical interconnection signal/data lines. Surge pulses or Ringwave pulses are applied to unshielded unsymmetrical interconnected lines by means of standalone coupling/decoupling networks for 4 signal/data lines.

CNV 504 N1.3 combines three different applications; coupling of Surge pulse via capacitor or gas arrestor and coupling of Ringwave pulses via capacitor being required by EN IEC 61000-4-5 and/or EN IEC 61000-4-12. The required coupling mode, Differential or Common, can easily be selected by means of a simple jumper.

In accordance with EN IEC 61000-4-5 and EN IEC 61000-4-12 pulses are coupled via different coupling elements such as capacitors or gas arrestors depending on the characteristics of the line signals.

EN/IEC 61000-4-5 - 2014 relates to immunity requirements for unidirectional surges caused by over-voltages from switching and lightning transients. This standard defines ranges of test levels, test equipment, test setups, and test procedures for equipment under test (EUT). The goal of this International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard is a reproducible guide to evaluate equipment when exposed to this type of phenomena. It specifies that direct injections of lightning currents (direct lightning strikes) are not considered in this standard. The most recent 2014 version 3 cancels out previous publications and gives specifications for 10/700 µs combined wave generator. The most changes from version 2 fall underneath the test procedures section of the standard. This Standard can be purchased on the IEC Webstore.
EN IEC 61000-4-5 Peak to Peak and Voltage Test Levels
This IEC standard is based on a surge, a transient wave of electrical current, and is tested for by Immunity Test Equipment. This standard defines two Combination Wave pulses (Open Circuit Voltage and Short Circuit Current). It set the number of pulses from the EMC test equipment to a.c. ports, d.c. ports, and interconnection lines, at 5 positive and 5 negative (a.c. at 0°, 90°, 180°, & 270°).
