Telcordia GR-1089-Core: Electromagnetic compatibility and Electrical Safety - Generic Citeria for Network Telecommunications Equipment

This standard presents the Telcordia and associated professionals generic testing criteria covering EMC and safety necessary for equipment reliability and safety in environment typical of that of a telecommunication service provider. It offers system level EMC creiteria to help avoid equipment damage and malfunction
because of lightning, 60-Hz commercial power fault conditions, Electrostatic
Discharge (ESD), Electrical Fast Transient (EFT), Electromagnetic Interference
(EMI), operation in the presence of a dc potential difference, and operation in a
steady-state induced voltage environment. This standard is applicable to wireless systems that provide fixed and/or mobile services that are installed in locations with telecommunications network equipment. GR 1089 CORE does not apply to systems where antenna is inside a facilitate or handheld devices. This standard can be purchased through the Telcordia / Ericcson website. Much electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Electrical Fast Transient (EFT), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing references corresponding International Electrotechnical Commission standards with modifications.
