Overview
General Testing Information
This automotive/vehicle based standard is one of the main radiated standards when it comes to component testing. It cover 80MHz to 18Ghz frequency range through different testing including Shielded enclosure, BCI and other types. Given that this standard is broken down into several sections the publication dates very. The vast majority of where the interference or disturbances are coupled to include DUT and wiring harness in different configurations. It also places specific requirements of 80% modulation and tolerances for testing criteria. ISO 11452-1 A.2.3 defines functional status classifications for the equipment under test or EUT (Classes A-E).
Common Parts & Equipment
Given the overlap of this standards requirements, much of the equipment can be used for multiple sections depending upon its capabilities. Below are common parts and associated solutions. To ensure compliance, please reference associated section of the standard for specific requirements.
