5uH LISN/AN - Rent CISPR 25 & MIL-STD-461 CE Equipment

CISPR 25 Ed.4 (purchase standard) places specific requirements above the 60 Volt threshold, now categorizing ANs/LISNs as HV or LV. These new criteria are designed for electric or hybrid vehicles and typically edition 3 compliant V-LISNs are not compliant to HV design requirements.

The high voltage compliant ANs often include a shielded box or enclosure that as specified by section E.3 as seen with SME HV-AN 150 and HVSE 8600. Transient Specialists provides the enclosures with all rentals of CISPR 25 LISNs ensure that HV requirements are met.

ISO 7637-2 section 4.3 voltage transient emissions test requires both an artificial network (AN) and commonly the electric switch (or mechanical) be used to conduct testing.

The EM Test transient emissions test set, which is designed for compliant testing provides an idea solutions whose main components include the BS 200N100 switch and AN 200N100 AN along with other accessories including shunt.

MIL-STD-461G allows for 5uH LISNs to be used for both for CE101 and CE102 testing under associated discussions in appendix A. This allows for some 5uH LISNs/ANs (if they meet design requirements) to be used for both conducted emissions test.

The 10uF capacitor is required for compliance is typically done externally and is included for rental LISNs/AN. These can be an external boxes one per line, or simply put across connections as with the HV-AN 150.

ISO 11452-4  covers the harness excitation method(s) commonly Bulk Current Injection (BCI) testing for automotive component testing. Both methods of covered under the standard, BCI and TWC, include the us of artifical network(s).

Given the typically lower levels of conducted RF immunity requirements, it can be expected that lower current AN networks can be used so long as the associated 1MHz to 400MHz is covered.
