This General Motors standard applies to passenger vehicles, light, and medium duty trucks. This standard is part of a series for General Motors global EMC testing documents, GMW3091, GMW3097 and GMW3103. All testing completed for this automotive standard must also be accompanied by a test plan. This plan determines the classification of testing needed. It separates testing by emission(3.3), immunity(3.4), transients(3.5), and ESD(3.6). For automotive transient testing this standard uses ISO 7637 waveforms as a baseline with modifications, stating "The test equipment shall comply with ISO 7637-1 and ISO 7637-2". GMW3097 bases the transient immunity test requirements around ISO 7637-2 pulses 1, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4, 5a, 5b and 7. These pulses are mainly done in in accordance with ISO 7637 with minor modifications. The major difference is the number and time of the pulses. These number and times can be found in Table 18 of the standard. It provides cycle times minimum and maximum values and the number of pulses or application time. This standard also puts forth guidance on how to conduct ESD testing as well. The Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) portion of this standard references ISO 10605 for test equipment and test procedures with minor modifications. The Automotive EMC test equipment must have both an 330pF/2kΩ and 150pF/2kΩ capabilities to 30kV to test to all required levels of GMW3097. Overview

The Teseq NSG 5500 rental offers solutions for transient immunity testing based on ISO 7637-2 pulses 1, 2a, 3a, 3b, and the load dump pulses from ISO 16750-2.  It includes the +ARB Option for pulses 2b and 4. Our rental systems also have built in the MT5511, LD5550, +ARB, and come with Autostar Software with a laptop to control the unit(s). All of our automotive rentals include an accredited calibration in the rental price. This Teseq automotive transient generator includes a coupler/battery switch for testing requiring battery coupling. 

The NSG 5500 system allows for testing to international, commercial, and company specific standards including. The Arbitrary waveform generator option supports >64,000 segments plus 1GB of Clone data with up to 10Ms/s 16 bit operation. Control of the testing parameters is done through PC running AutoStar™ software. This Teseq automotive immunity generator rental offers testing to be completed through a single output connector.

This turnkey product comes with a laptop with software pre-installed for efficient testing. Additional inputs and outputs are located on the rear panel for test execution control purposes and monitoring. A2LA accredited calibration is included in the automotive EMI immunity test equipment rental price. This fast, reliable, and modular battery simulator supply comes with up to 18 kW of power and is designed to simulate 12, 24, and 42 V vehicle electrical systems. 

This Automotive EMC Test Equipment provides dips and interrupts for a diverse set of automotive EMI standards including ISO 7637, waveforms 2b and 4. The PA 5840 also allows for testing to military automotive immunity standards including MIL-STD-461E. This latest Teseq model has 4 quadrant operation, important in the EV environment.

The PA 5840 includes two gain settings for use and output ranges for power efficiency. This DC power supply needs a control unit to be used.This automotive transient immunity generators setup also allows for High bandwidth up to 150 kHz. Overview

The EM Test LD200N provides a effective test solution to ISO 7637-2 pulses 5 and 7, as well as many other international and manufacturer based standards/requirements. This Automotive Conducted Immunity Test Solutions simulate a load dump, the sudden battery disconnection causing an over voltage impulse. This stand alone generator includes an 60v/30a DC coupling decoupling network (CDN) for direct testing and an ISO 17025 accredited calibration, providing a ideal test solution! It is designed for use with 12, 24, or 42 volt supply systems and in conjunction with other EM Test 200 series of generators.

This immunity generator is an all in one system for testing high-energy pulses as required by ISO 7637. By means of a built-in clipping circuit it also generates clipped load dump pulses as per international standards as well as manufacturer requirements. The LD200N can be integrated with the UCS200N and VDS 200N for a complete automotive immunity test system, similar to the NSG 5500.  

This test equipment allows for both pre-programmed standard test and modification of individual pulses through the FreeStyle mode. It has an adjustable source impedance from, 0.5 Ω to 38 Ω in .1 Ω steps. This waveform generator can easily be integrated with the UCS200N and the LD200N for a complete immunity test system, similar to that of the NSG 5500. It provides current up to 200A (peak up to 1,000A) with low output impedance. The VDS 200N30 Automotive EMC Test Equipment also allows for both pre-programmed Standard Test and modification of individual pulses.

Overview

The EM Test Arbitrary waveform generator is used to simulate batteries and many electrical occurrences under field conditions with 4-channel arbitrary generator and a 2-channel transient wave recorder . This Immunity test product Generates and records automotive waveforms ideal for automotive standards including SAE J1113-2 & ISO 16750.
