Conducted Susceptibility Testing Power Leads (30 Hz to 150 kHz)
Conducted Susceptibility Testing Power Leads (30 Hz to 150 kHz)
MIL-STD-461 CS101 section of MIL-STD-461 puts forth requirements for conducted susceptibility for power leads. This standard applies interference to the power input of the electrical or electronic equipment. Testing for this military standard applies from 30 Hz to 150 kHz for equipment with current draws less than or equal to 30 Amperes per phase. It also applies to electrical systems that draw more than 30 amps if it has a operating frequency of 150 kHz or less. This standard also defines what constitutes a pass and failing criteria. CS101 is broken down into applicability, limit, and test procedure.  MIL-STD-461 CS101 Power Limit all applications
For MIL-STD-461 CS101 testing we offer rentals of the Solar Electronics 8850 military power sweep generator. This generator is designed for both this standard and MIL-STD-461 CS01. All of our military susceptibility test equipment rentals come with an accredited calibration and free technical support included in the rental price. This cost efficient solution offers easy to use interface which allows test parameters to be modified via front panel turn nob. The equipment for this standard includes, a signal generator, power amplifier, oscilloscope, coupling transformer, 10 μF capacitor, isolation transformer for oscilloscope use, 0.5 ohm Resistor, and LISNs.  MIL-STD-461 CS101 General Test setup for non-conductive

MIL-STD-461 CS101 Rentals - Conducted Susceptibility Test Equipment

The Solar 8850 by Solar Electronics is a power sweep generator with 7021-1 phase shift network for Mil Std 461 CS01/CS101. A2LA accredited calibration is included in the EMC rental equipment price. This product is ideal for conducted susceptibility testing providing increased audio voltage from a low impedance source.

This Military EMC Test Equipment is designed to be used with an audio isolation transformer allowing the injection injection of sinewave audio voltages into power lines supplying the EUT.  The Solar 8850 offers the option for both manually tuned or sweeping mode for four frequency bands 20Hz to 150Khz. The digital display on this EMC test equipment shows frequency and output voltage level(injection voltage level).

The Solar 8850 also provides automatic leveling of output voltage as frequency is scanned or swept. This product is designed to meet the testing critera for MIL-STD-461 CS101 and MIL-STD-461 CS01. The maximum output of this test equipment is 300 watts for 1.5 ohm resistive load  and 200 watts for a 2.5 ohm. As added protection this Solar military product provides protective circuits preventing damage caused by power frequency feedback in typical a.c. setups.
