Standard Terms

Transient Specialists, Inc. (TSI)

Standard Terms & Conditions:

  • TSI retains title of all equipment. Customers are precluded from altering, assigning, modifying or encumbering the equipment in any way.
  • Equipment is shipped F.O.B. shipping point and must be returned prepaid and insured to TSI per shipping instructions included with the equipment. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties related to the lease of the equipment.
  • Payment terms are net 30 with credit approval. Non-payment or late payment of amounts due will result in interest charges of 1% per month and upon demand, return of the equipment.
  • The lease is non-cancelable for its initial term and may not be renewed without permission from TSI. If it is renewed, the customer is responsible for all lease charges accrued whether or not the customer has issued additional purchase orders.
  • In the event that the equipment is non-functional, lease charges are abated from the date that notification is given to TSI, until a replacement unit is furnished to the customer. Notification of a non-functional unit must be given within 72 hours of delivery or the customer will be responsible rental charges accrued between delivery date and the date they notified TSI of a problem.  Notification of missing accessories must be given within 72 hours of delivery or the customer will be responsible for the return of all accessories listed on the packing list.
  • The customer shall bear all risks of loss or damage to the equipment from the time of shipment until TSI receives the equipment in good working order, unless notification is given per sec. 5.
  • The customer agrees that TSI has not made any representation of warranty, expressed or implied (except as stated in the document) on the equipment and the responsibility for equipment selection, suitability and fitness of use for a particular purpose lies solely with the customer.
  • The customer will hold TSI harmless from all claims and expenses resulting from the selection, delivery, use and/or possession of any equipment obtained from or through TSI.
  • In the event of default by the customer of any of the above terms and conditions, TSI shall be entitled to the immediate possession of this equipment.
  • The customer agrees that the terms and conditions listed here shall supersede any conflicting terms in, or attached to, the purchase order.
  • This agreement shall be interpreted according to the laws of the State of Illinois. The customer shall pay to TSI all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, incurred by TSI in exercising any of its rights or remedies with regard to the rental or enforcement of any of these terms and conditions.

    Programmable AC Power Source

    Programmable AC power sources provide control over key power parameters, including voltage, current, frequency, and phase angle. Many models also include built-in test routines or support automated testing for common industry standards such as IEC 61000-4-13, RTCA DO-160, and MIL-STD-704. While primarily designed for AC applications, most systems also offer DC output capabilities.

    These instruments are typically specified by their power rating (kVA), maximum output voltage, frequency range, and other performance characteristics that determine their suitability for powering and testing electrical and electronic equipment. Available models generally start at approximately 1 kVA/kW, with higher-power systems offering expanded output ranges, advanced waveform generation, and additional programmable features.

    Unlike conventional benchtop AC or DC power supplies, programmable power sources provide advanced control, precision, and automation capabilities, making them ideal for demanding applications such as product development, compliance testing, manufacturing, and aerospace or defense

    Regardless of weight, all programmable AC sources should be shipped LTL freight attached to a pallet in the case they arrived in. This helps ensure the equipment arrives in working condition, free of damage. It's important to include any accessories that arrived with the equipment as well.     AC input voltage requirements vary depending on the model and configuration. Many programmable power sources are offered with either 200 VAC or 400 VAC three-phase input options. Most lower-power sources are configured for 200 VAC input, while higher-power sources are often designed with 400 VAC input.

    For many AC source models, we include a current ISO 17025 calibration in the rental price. However, there are some sources that do not have current ISO 17025 calibrations, as often times this isn't required by customers. For calibration inquiries and requirements, reach out to our team prior to placing the order.

    Yes, the AC sources in our rental inventory can provide both single-phase and three-phase power. We include the necessary adapters and accessories if needed.
