Overview
Military and Avionics EMC testing pertains to the susceptibility and potential of these types of electronics to emit and be affected by electromagnetic fields. Military and Avionics immunity is a crucial given the unique requirements and environments that these types of products are exposed to. Many standards exist for Military EMC immunity testing however, several of the major standards used include MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-461 CS117, RTCA/DO 160, MIL-STD 810, and MIL-STD 1179D. Many of the Military EMC Immunity tests are covered in Mil Std 461 and Avionics immunity standards are covered in RTCA DO 160.
