Haefely AXOS5

Description

The Haefely AXOS5 is a compact, multifunction transient immunity generator designed for pre-compliance testing, full-compliance programs, product development, and troubleshooting. It combines a 5 kV combination wave surge generator and 5 kV electrical fast transient/burst generator within one modular platform. Its built-in single-phase coupling decoupling network supports equipment under test operating at up to 264 V and 16 A AC or 220 V and 10 A DC, simplifying setup for power-line immunity applications.

The AXOS5 supports surge testing to IEC 61000-4-5 and EFT/burst testing to IEC 61000-4-4. When paired with the Haefely DIP 116 automatic transformer, it can also perform voltage dips, short interruptions, and voltage variation testing to IEC 61000-4-11. Compatible external three-phase coupling networks extend surge and EFT testing to higher-voltage or higher-current equipment, while the Haefely IP4B capacitive coupling clamp supports EFT testing on signal, communication, and data lines.

An intuitive color touchscreen provides direct access to test parameters, coupling paths, polarity, phase angle, pulse repetition, and automated standards routines. Front-panel voltage and current monitoring outputs make waveform verification easier, while Ethernet and USB interfaces support system communication and test control. The AXOS platform’s modular architecture also allows enabled functions to be expanded as laboratory requirements change.

Renting the Haefely AXOS5 provides a practical solution for temporary projects or laboratory capacity. Rentals include operating cables, accessories, documentation, a shipping case, and current ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration unless otherwise specified. The generator ships by LTL freight secured to a pallet.
