Description

The EMC Partner CDN-M-6-32 is a manual three-phase coupling decoupling network for applying electrical fast transient burst and surge disturbances to equipment power lines. It supports immunity testing to IEC 61000-4-4 and IEC 61000-4-5 when paired with a compatible EMC Partner generator.

The standard unit handles equipment under test at up to 690 V AC line to line and 32 A per phase, or up to 500 V DC and 32 A. Current can flow in either direction between the source and the equipment under test. Both burst and surge test levels reach 6 kV. The network supports the required surge waveform throughout its specified zero to 32 A equipment current range.

Manual operation provides direct control of the coupling setup. The basic unit occupies four rack units in a 19-inch enclosure. Delivery includes power and equipment connectors, five equipment cables, and a burst calibration adapter. It is compatible with the IMU-MGS and IMU-MGE generators.

Available options extend DC voltage capability to 1000 V and add ring wave testing up to 6 kV to IEC 61000-4-12. Separate overcurrent protection options are available for AC and DC applications, allowing the CDN to be configured for specific test requirements in laboratory environments.
