Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing - Machine Tools and Associated Products

EN 50370:2005 pertains to EMC testing for immunity and emissions (does not cover electro discharge machines EDM) for only industrial applications that use electricity with the machine voltage not above 1kV AC or 1.5kV DC between lines. The most recent 2005 version supersedes all previous versions.This standard covers immunity in section 2 and emissions in section 1, which can be purchased individually. The term machine tools may include motors, heating equipment, or other equipment that may be powered by mains or other electrical power source. It does not cover permanent, or fixed installations, per the Guide to the Application of Directive 89/336/EEC, published by the European Commission. Emissions frequency ranges start from 9kHz to 400 Ghz. No measurements need to be performed at frequencies where no requirements are specified.
