Overview

The Solar CS116 accessory package is a complete accessory package for CS115 and CS116 testing with the Solar Electronics 9354-2 including calibration fixtures and attenuators. High power transient generators with source impedances from 0.25 Ω to 50 Ω can use this probe to deliver high peak voltage or high current pulses into the wires or cables passing through the window of the device.

The unique winding arrangement of this impedance matching probe provides step-up or step-down ratios with respect to either: 1) the source impedance of the connected generator, when used for injection, or 2) the load impedance of the connected receiver, when used for reception. This results in maximum power transfer into or out of the transformer winding formed by the cable bundle passing through the window.

The F120-9 A (F120 9) is a Fischer Custom Communications bulk current injection probe for testing products for immunity to conducted RF per IEC 61000-4-6. The F-120-9A has been designed to extend the use of conducted immunity testing over the bandwidth of 10 kHz – 230 MHz. The useable frequency range is 10 kHz - 230 MHz with an insertion loss of less than 8 dB between 150 kHz – 200 MHz. The input power rating is 100 watts for 30 minutes.

Overview

The 6220-4 / Solar6220-1B by Solar Electronics audio isolation transformer allows testing for DO-160 Sec 18,sec 20. The transformer is capable of handing up to 200 W of audio power into its primary over the frequency range 30 Hz to 250 kHz. The turns ratio provides a two-to-one step down to the special secondary winding. The secondary will handle up to 50 A of AC or DC without saturating the transformer.

Another secondary winding is connected to a pair of binding posts suitable for connecting to AC voltmeter as directed by the applicable EMI specifications.The transformer may be used as a 4 Ω primary and 1 Ω secondary or 2.4 Ω primary and 0.6 Ω secondary or 2 Ω primary and 0.5 Ω secondary.

The Solar7032 is an electronics power line isolation transformer for MIL-STD-461 CS06 and MIL-STD 1399. This transformer is equipped with a wall plug and 2 binding posts. Rated at 800 W, 50-60 Hz. There are times when it is necessary to step up the power line voltages from 115 V to 230 V. This transformer is equipped with a male connector on the 115 V winding and a female connector on the 230 V winding. The connectors are the international style IEC-320/CEE 22. The 6512-106R by Solar Electronics are a series of 10µF Feed-Thru Capacitor, ideal for military/avionic RFI/EMI test setups such as MIL-STD-461A/462A and are rented in sets of 2. A2LA accredited calibration is included in the EMC rental equipment price. In this application the capacitor provides a low RF impedance across the power source so that EMI currents produced by the equipment under test can be accurately measured with a current probe.
